			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I&#8217;ve been active for one week now.  Since my half marathon at the beginning of November 2008, I&#8217;ve barely done anything!  I don&#8217;t know why I go into exercise hiatus after I have a big run, but I always have.</p>
<p>Since I&#8217;ve been thinking of exercising for 3 months, I&#8217;ve finally done something about it.  Last weekend, I went out for a walk around the neighborhood.  A couple of days later, with a kid on my back, I hiked the neighborhood once again.  On Thursday, I took my first class at The Dailey Method.  Oh, yikes, it kicked my ass and I was about 3 minutes into the 60 minute class.  I am not kidding!  This was an amazing workout.  I didn&#8217;t want to lose all of the benefits of that workout, so a couple of days later (Saturday morning) I went out for a run in the neighborhood.  My neighborhood is VERY HILLY!  I didn&#8217;t think I&#8217;d be able to run for the whole time, but I did.  My body is so forgiving!  <img src='http://seekingcontentment.sweat365.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
<p>Yesterday, because I was feeling so good about staying active for the week, I dragged the family out to the pool.  I only swam a few laps (maybe 10 tops), but it was nice to stretch out and be in the pool after so long!</p>
<p>I wanted to try to get to a 6am class at our downtown Dailey Method Studio this morning, but I couldn&#8217;t figure out how to sign up for a class online late last night.  (It&#8217;s an excuse, I know, but I couldn&#8217;t bear dragging myself to the class this morning and them turning me away because there wasn&#8217;t a space open in the class!)  So, I&#8217;m going to call today and sign up for tomorrow morning.  If I can get myself to that class 2 or 3 times a week, I will look and feel fantastic.  </p>
<p>And truthfully, who doesn&#8217;t want more energy!

<p>I ran the first 4 miles at 37:47:36 and kicked it up a notch on the way back.&nbsp; It started off great.&nbsp; I tried not to head out too fast.&nbsp; I was at a steady 10 minute per mile pace for the first mile and a half.&nbsp; Then, I broke away from DK and ran at a comfortable steady pace to mile 4.&nbsp; When I turned around, I wanted to keep up my comfortable pace and start to play with speeding it up a bit.&nbsp; I was following these 2 girls (they were a bit ahead of me and knew nothing about my stalking:).&nbsp; I kept them in sight for about 2.5 miles and then the shot off to finish at a much faster pace than I was willing to match.</p>
<p>I finished with an elevated heart rate.&nbsp; It was tough, but I&#8217;m so glad that I pushed through.&nbsp; I&#8217;m very proud of myself.&nbsp; I just don&#8217;t want this to be my best run.&nbsp; I&#8217;d like to save that for the race:)
